I was disappointed to find that I couldn’t connect to the Oasis Mini through the app when my phone wasn’t on the same WiFi network. My friend and I want to be able to send creations to each other’s Oasis Minis from our own houses, so I hope this feature is added in a future update.

Agreed, I bought two so my daughter and niece’s could send designs to eachother during the night as that’s what I understood we could do from Kickstarter.
The oasis is amazing, please allow us to share it!!
This feature is neat, but I fear that Oasis could add it but instead remove all chance of the product working “by itself”, without relying on some Oasis server for everything. Things can happen, it would be really sad if one day the device became dead just because a connection to Oasis server is needed.
But if they can manage for a " local" usage garanted AND a “through-the-internet-via-servers” usage, great for everyone!
