Hi Everybody,
The nameās Chris. Iām a lifelong (20+ year) Software and Web Developer, working with companies like AT&T and Comcast. I also have a background in integration testing and troubleshooting on various devices (cable boxes, PCs, networks, etc). I do photography and 3D & graphic design for hobby and side-gigs. Zamboni driving, Scuba diving, Remote control airplanes, helicopters, cars, and boats for fun and as previous work when I was younger.
Looks like I was accepted for the Beta test, so glad to add this to one of my Kickstarter successes, as Iām at like 75% for my legit to scam campaign ratio there.
Iāve got a 7 year old who is high pressed to get our Oasis Mini up and running. But we seem to be having some initial hiccups with connectivity. Iām anxious to get it up and running, so weāll see how it goes. I look forward to helping out.

Excited to join the forum and get to creating with my Oasis Mini!
By day, I am an attorney at a healthcare IT company. By night, I am a avid tinkerer, serial Kickstarter backer and home hobbyist ā including 3D printing, CNC machining, laser engraving, woodworking, etc. No formal engineering or software background, I am teaching myself Fusion 360 (thanks YouTube) and also use my daughter, dog and wife as my own beta testers.
Thanks to @Zach and the Oasis Mini team I am lucky enough to be a beta tester and will create a separate post of my (positive) experiences thus far.

Really exited about this project, and I have been looking forward to receiving my Oasis mini for a while. I sadly did not make it to the betaās, but I have been reading the forum on the side for some time and would like to get more involved into the community.
I am a cloud automation architect at a large audit firm, and am based in Holland. As a hobby I am a boardgame geek, drone/photography enthusiast, 3d print hobbyist, and love to travel and see the world.
I have a fully automated home, and the Oasis mini just fits right in with my gadgets.

Hello! Just reviewed the release update #18. I like so many others have been following along and waiting with patience and excitement for the delivery of our very own unit.
I had a few questionsā¦ I remember in the beginning there was talk that we would each receive our tracking number via email when our unit was headed our way, I have not seen mention of this in the updates in a whileā¦ is this still going to happen? (I saw on the last update where we can track the cargo ship, I am speaking more directly to the individual units when they ship to us)
In update 16 you gave us an idea of when we might expect to receive our unit based on our kickstarter backer number, is there a way to get an update like this again? I am in the 9,000ās so according to update 16 I would have received my unit roughly yesterdayā¦ (I do pay attention and know that you have ran into many shipping issues) not complainingā¦ just wondering if there is a new updated time line like in update #16?
I can only imagine how overwhelmed your small business was with the sheer amount of interest and desire for your product. Congratulations and I am super excited for my very own delivery!

Cindy from Alabama here. My Mini and 2 for Christmas gifts arrived today, and I am so excited! Never thought it would take 2 years, but all of the efforts to troubleshoot and refine the product made it worth the wait.!

Curious to hear how peoples experience has been since they received their mini? I was in the kickstarter and that took quite a long time but ok, it got here. Has made noise since day one, received grease to put on gears, quieter but something still off. Did hear back from āRobā, said to give info, etc/etc. Itās now been weeks and nothing. About to throw this thing in the trash. Hopefully others have had a better experience
Iāve had issues from the day it arrived 10 days ago. Inverted drawings, the balls not actually moving despite the app saying they were, the spiral drawings not working, veneer panelling not glued down properly. Very disappointing.
I did post to their facebook group but posts are on post approval so it takes days to share anything to the group. I emailed their support and got a reply from a āShayeā which seemed hopeful and provided evidence of the issues to which she said they would organise a replacement product but that was last Friday morning and itās been radio silence since.
Very unhappy with the whole process and their lack of communication.
They donāt reply to you tagging them in the Facebook group either.
Appears weāre in the same boat. Hoping to hear something butā¦not going to hold my breath.
Signed up to say that I was happy to receive my Oasis Mini in Adelaide Australia this week. Just starting to play with it now but very impressed with the box and packaging and hardware so far. Well done team!
