The code is probably because you haven’t logged in or validated your email with the oasis mini app yet. You need to do that first in the official app. After that, you shouldn’t need to enter a code via the HA integration.
Does this require a server or other device to set up? Or can I just use Alexa/Google Home apps?
For Home Assistant, you need a device on your local network that you can install it on. That can be a raspberry pi, a nuc or a virtual environment. But it needs to be able to reach the IP of your Oasis Mini.
