Oasis Mini Appears Bricked after Computer Upgrade

First, would like to preface that I have a support ticket already in. However, I am curious if anyone else has run into this issue, or if I am a special case.

The backstory is that a few weeks ago my Mini started just flashing blue, and would not reconnect to wifi. After several attempts to reconnect/ troubleshoot failed, I “upgraded” the software using my computer. It worked fine for a few weeks, and everything seemed ok. This past week it happened again, and again tried to reconnect with failure, and finally plugged it into my computer. The computer software said it completed the upgrade successfully, but now my Mini wont turn on, wont move, wont do anything. Note, the Mini would not connect, but the lights were flashing when I plugged it into my computer’s USB3 port. I can plug it back into my computer and run the upgrade again, and it says it completes successfully, but still nothing. The Oasis Mini is one of 2 I have, the other is working fine. And for reference both have been plugged into a surge protector and using original cord and plug.

Just curious if anyone else has run into this, and if so, is there a resolution, or is it truly bricked?

Sounds similar to my experience, only mine has never worked. It just flashes blue, and none of my computers will see it.

The software definitely seems pretty buggy.

Hmm, that’s odd, using the driver provided on the website, and my computer never had/has an issue seeing the device (even if it is bricked, computer still sees it when plugged in). I always figured there would be bugs in a gen 1 product. I think it is really cool what they are doing, and the community they are building. More concerned if others were is similar situations recently, as it might be an issue on the manual upgrade side. Hoping they can get us both sorted out!

Does yours make a Pac-Man looking figure when it fails to connect? Back when it would fail to connect, it would have the LEDs go back to normal, but the ball would make a small almost circle figure in the center.

I’ve yet to see the ball move at all. All it does is blink. If I hold in the button for a few seconds, it’ll have the light run in white, before going back to blinking blue. If I hold it for like 20 seconds I can hear some motors reset, but it still doesn’t do anything.

Yes for all those involved. The creators of this device have left the chat. They don’t care anymore. They got their money and they are done. So sad…

really? I’ve seen them posting in other threads

That’s not been my experience so far. The team were pretty quick to follow up on my ticket, and very responsive there after. Actually, regarding customer service, they have been great! I bought an Oasis Mini knowing it was a first generation product, and there would be glitches. Figure we are still testers in many ways, but I have been impressed on how responsive the team has been to folks here, and in incorporating ideas from the forum in their app. Looking forward on seeing where the product and community goes.

Mine did the same thing. I did a update and it was working fine . It just died. It won’t light up or anything. Plugged it in with cord and power from my second oasis but just completely dead. Second oasis works fine.
