Anyone else have it start ignoring the middle 1.5 cm after the last update? I’ve tried a bunch of different patterns with the same problem
Hi there, mine is doing the exact same thing. Must be some kind of drift generating in whatever system keeping track of the arms position. I have reset the mini a couple times by holding the power button for ~15 and then letting go. It takes a few minutes and then recenters itself, and for maybe like 24 hours everything will be fine but it will start doing this again. Im about to message support.
Let me know if you get anywhere please!
Alan
I just received mine late last week, and was beginning to wonder if mine was defective. I’m having the same issue. I did reach out to support yesterday.
Resetting my unit seems to have fixed it. Give that a try. Let’s see how long before it comes back though.

Mine does the same. I reset the unit, that fixed it for a few iterations, now it is doing it again
Just got mine today and it started doing it. Was about to reach out and see if it was defective.
Yeah, it worked…for about 3-4 patterns.
Has anyone gotten an answer to why it is doing this?
I submitted a support request. No answer yet
Came here for the same problem, and I couldn’t get the app to trigger the “centering itself” thing. Finally tried using the line-drawing feature, which worked for the first time ever, and when I went back to the playlist it trigger the centering and now it’s fine … At least until it drifts off center again at some point.
I’ve been following this thread, but haven’t seen the center disruption as bad as some. After that last comment, I have an idea for y’all to try. Every day or 2 I run a playlist I called wiper, it’s the coarse spiral in to out, left to right, top to bottom, right to left, bottom to top and finished with spiral out to in. I wonder if that helps? Anyone want to try it?
Same with me. I have about 1.5 inches in the middle that quits drawing. Even the wipes go around it. I feel like it might be caused by certain patterns, and then it’s wrecks everything that follows that pattern. But I’ve not been able to determine exactly when it starts.
The only fix so far is to unplug and replug the mini
Good news all, I got a reply to my support request I mentioned in the second post to this thread. They have replicated the issue on their end and figured out the software bug causing it. A fix will be out within the week in a new update that probably fixes some other issues people are having too.
Thanks for the update Kevin! So far, resetting mine did the trick and it hasn’t recurred. I’ll look forward to the update.
